Festive fun for the kids and big kids:
Moon Dog and the Christmas Star
On in the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline from 6th – 24th Dec this is a magical treat for young children between the ages of 3 – 6. With use of puppetry and clowning the tale of Moon Dog making new friends from a distant place is told in a captivating way.
No Christmas would be complete without going to the pantomime to watch Cinderella. So head along to the Adam Smith theatre in Kirkcaldy to get your dose of the ugly sisters this year! On from Sat 10th Dec to 7th of Jan you can book your tickets and head along and see who’s foot fits that slipper once again!
We all wish we had our own magic lamp and this year in Fife you can head along to the Byre Theatre and see Aladdin and his! Sure to be a bundle of hilarity and fun you can book to see this from the 1st – 31st Dec.
Fife Farmers Market
Why not head down to the Fife Famers market and stock up for Christmas with all the delights this market has on offer? You can either go to St Andrews on the 3rd Dec, Dunfermline on the 10th Dec, Cupar on the 17th Dec or Kirkcaldy on the 18th Dec. There is nothing quite like fresh produce, especially at Christmas!
The Balgove Night Market
Enjoy a festive night out and head to the Balgove Night Market. Find unusual Christmas gifts for the stockings, visit Santa and sample the delicious delicacies on offer. This is the perfect way to escape the Christmas mayhem and enjoy some festive delights! Head down on Wednesady the 14th Dec between 5pm – 9pm to experience the fun!
Red Hot Chilli Pipers
A not to be missed concert! Head along on the 30th Dec to the Alhambra theatre in Dunfermline for a night of exciting Celticrock from Scotland’s most famous bagpipe playing band! The evening performance is sold out but you can head along to the Matinee performance that is on at 2pm. Prepare to dance your socks off!
Span a Tale of Three Bridges
A fabulous exhibition that explores the three famous bridges – the Forth Rail Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge and the new Queensferry Crossing. Learn about the history around these bridges, the Spider men of the road bridge and how close it was to having a tunnel instead of the new bridge. A perfect, fun and interactive family day out, this exhibition is on from 3rd Sept to the 25th Feb.
