If 4×4 off-road driving is up your street, make sure to visit The Scottish Off Road Driving Centre just 20 miles from Elderburn Lodges. The “biggest, best and most challenging 4×4 off road driving course in Scotland.” There are a variety of natural and man-made obstacles to challenge you, catering for all from the novice to the daring professional. After a brief theory lesson in the classroom your hands-on training begins. The Extreme Muddy Experience is £300 for 3 hours of heart-stopping driving for 3 people. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
A little closer to home is Fyfe Off Road at Kinkell, just 6 miles from us, at the other side of St. Andrews. They offer quad-biking, off road driving, laser clay pigeon shooting and abseiling. Perfect for individuals or groups.
Crail Raceway is another drivers’ dream. The old airfield is home to drag racing, track days, sprints and rallies on selected dates throughout the year. Take your own vehicle and join in. There are rules to follow – please enquire about this before you arrive.
