Things to do in St Andrews

The best tourist attractions in and around St Andrews town centre include the historic ruins of St Andrews Castle and Cathedral. Both date, in part, from the 13th century and are just a short walk from each other. The Botanic Garden is a tranquil haven where you can stroll amongst the plants and trees, water features, rock gardens, sand dunes and herbaceous borders. Golf lovers can visit the Old Course and take a selfie on the famous Swilcan Bridge. Then find out more about the history of the great game at the World Golf Museum. Enjoy a wander along the beach, and explore grand university buildings on the Town and Gown Walk.

The traditional town centre has a variety of local specialist shops, great for picking up gifts and souvenirs. Offering everything from jewellery and accessories to golf gadgets and Scotch whisky. Just returned from a fantastic relaxing break at lodge 1 at Elderburn Lodges.
The lodge really is a home from home and the setup of the lodge is great for 2 couples having the lovely spacious shared central areas but the bedrooms are spaced well apart.
The lodge was spotless and well equipped and some of the little extras within the lodge were excellent.
The location is ideal for visiting St Andrews and the lovely Fife coast.
