The Sealed Knot are coming to Falkland Palace to take over the orchard with displays of battle that will leave you intrigued and wanting to know more.

Who are The Sealed Knot?

The Sealed Knot is a society in the UK and a registered charity who tour the country and re-enact historical battles and share knowledge of historical Civilian and Military life. Their re-enactments of Civil War not only honour those who died in battle but also educate the public through fabulous and exciting displays. Through their demonstrations, you can quite literally submerge yourself in historical warfare. You can explore The Sealed Knot website here for more information and explore their videos and photos. Usually set over a few days, you can watch soldiers take to the battlefield as they did centuries ago. Experience the explosion of canon, thunder of hooves, smell of gunpowder and clanking of metal as the clash of the enemies plays out right before your very eyes. Learn all about how civilians lived, demonstrating crafts and trades of the period. Hear all about weaponry and see how it was used in battle through watching live demonstrations. Find out about the roles various people undertook such as Pikemen, Musketeers, Sergeants, Drummers, Officers, Cavalry and much more. It is a magical learning experience for all ages that will ignite your hunger for history.

Interested? Well come along to Falkland Palace on the weekend of the 24th September and see for yourself. The event will take place in the historical Falkland Palace gardens. All your senses will be engaged as battle unfolds with soldiers taking over the orchard for combat. You can also explore the living history displays, living history camp and weapons demonstrations.
